I am Jenni Elizabeth, an avid photographer and passionate creative entrepreneur.
I see big things in small gestures and I'm absolutely in love with what I do. I'm all about the authentic things in life and live for creating honest and genuine work. I believe that as photographers, we provide our clients with so much more than just images... we have a much more holistic contribution and we leave lasting effects on our clients and they on us.
As a photographer, I take pride in offering a highly personalised service. When I step behind the lens on your behalf, my devotion is focused on you and your story, or that of your brand. While we're creating, you are my highest priority, and I promise to go above and beyond the call of duty to help you achieve your most desired outcome.
I call Cape Town my home, but I am truly inspired by traveling and the diversity that our world has to offer. My lens focuses on the beauty that lies in every individual, regardless of your background, religion, race, who you choose to love, or how you choose to identify and I am committed to creating a welcoming space where everyone is invited.

Where it all began...
I never actually studied photography. In fact, I wasn't all that interested in photography until I started working as a freelancer for wedding photographer Shanna Jones in my final year (2008) of studying Visual Communication at The AAA School of Advertising (specialising in Graphic Design).
After I completed my studies at AAA with a BA degree in the bag, I joined Shanna's team as her full-time studio / social media manager and graphic designer. During the two years that I worked closely with Shanna I learned more than I could possibly have imagined.
I experienced first-hand what it means to be a wedding photographer - how to navigate stressful situations and handle clients with care. At that stage I still didn't think I would become a wedding photographer myself, but without realising it I was subconsciously gaining invaluable experience that would pave the way for Jenni Elizabeth Photography.
After two years with Shanna, I decided it was time to head on an adventure, so I set out for a gap year teaching English in Thailand. Before I left, I was gifted a second hand entry level DSLR and a 24-70mm lens that I took with me. Little did I know that it would be behind this camera that my love of photography would come to bloom.
I was so inspired by travelling (and I still am!) that I could not put the camera down. It was also here, on a small island off the coast of Thailand, that I unofficially photographed my first wedding. On that day everything that I had learnt while observing Shanna just clicked. After that, the process that would lead to the establishment of my own photography business came completely naturally.
After my year of soul searching and travelling, I returned home to Cape Town and started Jenni Elizabeth Photography. Since then, I have photographed over 250 weddings both in South Africa and abroad. In this time, I was honoured to have my work published on numerous online and printed platforms, and travel to Greece, Italy, New York and back to Thailand to capture nuptial celebrations.
These days, I have shifted my focus to include the lifestyle spectrum of my work. I am still shooting weddings and will definitely continue to do so, but I only take on a select few every year to allow more time and space for the other genres of photography that I have come to love.
