It’s no secret that I love a bridal portrait. It’s always been one of my favourite parts of a wedding — that quiet pause in the day where things slow down, and something truly beautiful can be created.
And Lizré… you were an absolute dream.
Her bridal look was iconic — regal, refined, and completely effortless. There was a strength and softness to the way she carried herself that naturally lent itself to a more editorial way of shooting. I found myself leaning into that — allowing the light, structure, and subtle movement to guide me. These portraits became some of my favourite editorial-style images I’ve ever captured. Not forced. Not overworked. Just beautifully felt.
Set in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Kleinevalleij offered the perfect backdrop for a day like this. Surrounded by vineyards and mountain views, the space carries a quiet charm that feels both refined and relaxed. It’s a venue that allows light to move beautifully throughout the day — something that never goes unnoticed behind the lens.
And on this particular day, the light showed up in the best way possible. Soft. Consistent. Flattering.
