On the 2nd of November 2024, I had the absolute privilege of photographing Hilke and Charlie’s wedding at the breathtaking Molenvliet Vineyards in Stellenbosch. Nestled amidst the rolling vineyards and majestic mountains, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for a love story that effortlessly blended South African charm with British elegance.
Hilke, originally from Stellenbosch, and Charlie, now calling London home, brought their worlds together in the most stylish and classic way. The day was kissed with perfect weather—blue skies and a gentle breeze that made everything feel just right.
Hilke’s dress was a showstopper, but can we take a moment for those sleeves? Flowing and ethereal, they added a timeless sophistication to her look, perfectly complementing the elegance of the day. Charlie looked equally dapper, exuding understated confidence as he watched his bride walk down the aisle.
This wedding was all about capturing real moments. From the quiet anticipation of Hilke getting ready to the heartfelt speeches, joyous laughter, and stolen glances between the couple, we kept the photography as natural as possible. It was about preserving the true essence of their day, ensuring that every photo reflected their story as it unfolded.
