Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to capture the love story of Chani and Julian, a wonderful couple who flew us from Cape Town to the breathtaking location of Plettenberg Bay for their destination wedding at the Sky Villa Hotel.
From the moment we arrived, we were met with such warmth, making us feel not just like photographers but cherished guests. Chani and Julian, the epitome of kindness, went out of their way to ensure that every moment of their special day was not just about them but about the shared joy with their guests.
The Sky Villa Hotel, perched overlooking the vast expanse of the ocean, provided a stunning backdrop for this intimate celebration. The weather, on the day of the wedding, was nothing short of perfection – clear skies, a gentle breeze, and a radiant sun that cast a magical glow over the entire affair.
Chani, with her striking features, was a vision to behold. Her choice of a dramatic dress only added to the enchantment of the day. As a photographer, capturing her iconic look and the love shared between her and Julian was an absolute joy.
One of the many highlights was the vibrant burst of warm-coloured floral arrangements created by floral extraordinaire, Anli Wahl. Against the backdrop of the blue ocean, these blooms added a touch of magic to the atmosphere.
The intimacy of the event, despite guests arriving from various corners of the world, was palpable. It was more than a destination wedding; it was a gathering of friends and family, celebrating love in a stunning setting.
In the end, as I packed my gear and prepared to leave the picturesque Plettenberg Bay, I couldn't help but feel grateful for being a witness to Chani and Julian's love story. Their wedding was not just a job; it was an experience that reminded me why I fell in love with capturing moments of love and joy through the lens. And for that, I will forever be grateful to these two wonderful souls for inviting us into their world for a weekend.
